Used Hyundai Tucson: what to check before you buy
In Europe the Tucson was sold between 2009 and 2015 as the ix35. Newer cars may still have the 5-year factory warranty with no mileage limit, which passes to the next owner.

Translated from Romanian. These guides describe Romanian rules.

Engines and gearboxes
- The 1.6 GDI and 2.0 GDI petrol engines: ask about oil consumption.
- The 1.7 and 2.0 CRDi diesels rarely give problems. If the car was driven in town, check the particulate filter.
- The 7DCT gearbox should shift smoothly and not jerk in traffic.
