Cookie categories
Necessary cookies
RequiredNeeded for signing in, security, keeping the session and the basic operation of the site.
Analytics cookies
AutoNinja's own telemetry and Google Analytics 4 measure visits and actions. Microsoft Clarity creates interaction maps and session recordings. Pseudonymous browser and account identifiers may be used.
Marketing cookies
They serve advertising and campaign measurement. AutoNinja uses no advertising tools yet, so there is nothing to switch on here. Google consent mode always receives "denied" for advertising.
How long we keep cookies
- AutoNinja — autoninja_cookie_consent (localStorage): your consent choice is valid for 180 days; localStorage does not expire by itself, but the site no longer treats an older consent as valid.
- AutoNinja — NEXT_LOCALE: remembers the site language you chose for 1 year. The browser's local storage also keeps a listing or message you started and the view you chose for a dealer's car list, so you do not lose them. All of these are necessary and do not track traffic.
- AutoNinja — AN_CURRENCY (1 year): the currency you want to see prices in. an_ref (30 days): the code of the invitation you came through, so that you and the person who invited you get the reward. In the browser's local storage: recent searches, cars to compare and the chosen results view. They stay only in your browser and don't track visits.
- Supabase — sb-…-auth-token and its parts: necessary for signing in, default lifetime of at most 400 days, renewed when the session is refreshed. Signing out removes the sign-in cookies.
- Google Analytics 4 — _ga and _ga_…: identification of the browser and session, only with analytics consent, by default up to 2 years, renewed with use. This is not the retention period of reports.
- Microsoft Clarity — _clck (usually 1 year) and _clsk (1 day): identifier and linking of pages into a session, only with analytics consent. Depending on the browser and consent, Microsoft may also use the cookies MUID, CLID, ANONCHK, MR and SM.
- AutoNinja — autoninja_analytics_distinct_id (localStorage): a pseudonymous identifier used only with analytics consent for AutoNinja's own telemetry; it stays until the site's storage is cleared. Withdrawing consent stops its use.
- Language preferences and security mechanisms may use necessary storage. Stripe and Google may set cookies on their own pages when you choose a payment or a sign-in. Merely visiting the site does not turn them on as AutoNinja advertising tools.
- Google — g_state: the state of the Google One Tap sign-in prompt on the sign-in and registration pages. It is needed for the Google sign-in you choose and lasts up to 6 months.
- You can withdraw consent below. You can also delete existing cookies in your browser; this does not automatically delete data already processed by suppliers. Your rights and deletion are described in the privacy policy. List updated on 28 October 2026.
Detailed information about the processing of personal data is on the page Privacy Policy.
